Anne Marie Corey is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and Website Manager of the Tacoma Chapter of the Washington State Music Teachers Association (WSMTA). For over 30 years, Anne Marie Corey has taught piano, cello, voice, composed music, conducted choirs, played in orchestras and performed in musicals. Her compositions have been featured in multiple presentations and she has performed as a narrator, actor, piano accompanist, cellist and singer. Ten of her original compositions are currently being considered for inclusion in the Hymnbook and Children’s Songbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Her current passion is writing and her short story and Young Adult novel were awarded as a finalist in two writing competitions. She was also a featured author at a cultural arts event for her illustrated children’s stories. Currently, she is working to get her Young Adult novel published and drafting a middle grade novel.
When she isn’t playing music, illustrating or writing, she spends time with her amazing husband and four adult children. She feels incredibly lucky to have won the kid lottery four times. Her motto is to leave people better than when she found them and her goal is to beautify the world, one child at a time.
